Sally Ann (Raine) Chojnacki, 75 of Toledo, passed away December 2, 2022. She was born to John B and Josephine Raine in Middletown, Ohio August 30, 1947. Sally was a graduate of Middletown High School, “Class of 1965” and attended the University of Cincinnati. She was employed as a circulation clerk for the Lucas County Library, Point Place Branch, and before that as a sales associate for the Lion Store/Dillards department store for 20 years, Jack Gray Trucking, and Bissell Trucking in Cincinnati.
Sally eventually ended up moving to Toledo, where she met her husband of nearly 45 years, Duane Chojnacki thanks to her sister Nancy. Sally was the mom always baking cookies and pies from scratch. She enjoyed knitting and made caps for the preemie babies for several years as well as baby sweaters for new family members. She also sewed and had been an avid reader. Her newest love was talking to and visiting her granddaughter, Caroline. She was a member of Collingwood Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her loving husband Duane; son Benjamin; daughter Megan Burns and son- in-law Nathan; granddaughter Caroline; as well as brother Tim Raine; sister Nancy Raine Drake; brothers-in-law Dennis and Richard Chojnacki; sister-in law Denise Chojnacki; as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to visit and share memories of Sally on Tuesday, December 6 from 2-6 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. The funeral service will begin at 6 p.m. in the funeral home.
