Norma Jean Borowski, age 84, of Toledo passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Mercy St. Anne hospital. She was born April 10, 1937, in Toledo, OH to Carl and Ermine (Butler) Cox. Norma Jean worked at Champion Spark Plug for 21 ½ years, retiring in 1989. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker, she cherished caring for and spending time with her family. An avid bowler, she enjoyed bowling with her husband Eugene in their younger years. She also was an outdoor enthusiast. A wonderful cook, Norma loved preparing Polish dishes like kielbasa and kapusta as well as her delicious homemade mashed potatoes. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Hedwig Catholic Church.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene Borowski in 2008; sons, Terrance and Daniel Borowski; and brother, Ronald Cox. Surviving are her daughters-in-law, Michelle Borowski and Sheila Borowski; grandchildren, Jason, Jamie, Chelsey, Darien, and Travis Borowski, Ryan and Kelly Lesniewicz, Jennie Bogert, and Lisa (Ryan) Galovics; adopted granddaughter, Penny Bost; and great grandchildren, Jason Borowski Jr., Breonah Borowski, Kierstan Galovics, Brooke and Joseph Bogert, Brenden Brooks, Jazzy Lesniewicz, and Travis “TJ” Borowski Jr.
Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. The funeral service will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Thomas Extejt presiding. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
