Mary Anne Nichols

Mary Anne Nichols, age 74, of Temperance, Michigan passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021 at ProMedica Ebeid Hospice surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 14, 1947 in Toledo, Ohio to Hubert and Gertrude (Shubargo) Seitz. Mary was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of ‘65 and attended the University of Toledo. She was employed as a teller and loan officer for the Directions Credit Union for 25 years, retiring in 2012. She also worked at Key Bank and Elder Beerman. Mary was a former parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and a longtime member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church. She was an avid golfer and served as president of the Teledyne league at Giant Oak golf course. She passionately enjoyed Notre Dame football and anything else involving Notre Dame. She also enjoyed fishing. More than anything, Mary loved her family and cherished every moment with her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Heather Nichols; son, Jeffrey Nichols; and brothers, James and Gerald Seitz. She is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, David K. Nichols (married October 3, 1970); son, David L. (Mimi) Nichols; daughter, Jennifer (Adam) Russell; grandchildren, Julia, Ethan, and Andrew Nichols, Mason, Avery, and Graesyn Russell; and brother, Jack (Linda) Seitz.

Visitation will be Friday, October 29 from 4-8 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd.  Funeral services will begin Saturday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home and continue with the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Regina Coeli Church with Rev. Eric Schild presiding.
