Marilyn Sue Roth, age 79, of Oregon, OH passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the Orchard Villa Care Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 25, 1943 in Toledo, OH to Stephen and Mildred (Burgy) Jagodzinski. Marilyn was a graduate of Whitney Vocational High School, and employed as a secretary for Turner Vault in Northwood, OH for 28 years. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Northwood and the church’s Ladies Auxiliary. Marilyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker. A proud mom to her two sons, she worked tirelessly to ensure they had the opportunity to play hockey and was a devoted hockey fan. She was a wonderful cook, specializing in Polish dishes and many other family favorites. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting and loved her occasional rocket fuel and vodka martini. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Marilyn is survived by her sons, Keith (Tracy) Sokoloski and Paul (Dawn) Sokoloski; grandchildren, Brendon (“AJ” Spolsky) Sokoloski, Kelsey (Eric) Riggleman and daughter Avery, Kyle Zomkowski, and Kristen (Morgan Seymour) Zomkowski and son Ryker. sisters, Nancy (Tom) Smolinski and Patricia (Richard) Fitzenreiter; brother, John Jagodzinski; sister-in-law, Carol Jagodzinski; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Roth; brother, James Jagodzinski; and sister-in-law, Sharon Jagodzinski.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 14 from 2-7 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. The funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Robert Noble presiding. Interment will be private in Lake Township Cemetery.
