Leona G Kinor passed away on February 13, 2023. She was 95 years old. Born to Edward and Hattie Krell, Lee was one of 11 “Krell kids”, eight brothers and two sisters who grew up on Mettler Steet in Toledo, OH. Lee married Chester (Jerry) Kinor and had two daughters, Margie and Judy. Jerry and Lee started their 66 years together on Lincoln Ave then Independence Rd. Their next chapter was spent on Valley Forge Dr where Lee hosted decades of holidays, graduations, and card parties- if there was a special event, she made sure everyone was celebrated. They eventually moved to Eaglestone Blvd in Lambertville, MI establishing close friends with nights of Wii Bowling, poker, and bingo. After Jerry passed in 2011, she moved to West Park Place. A petite lady, Lee had a huge heart and gave lovingly and freely…a class act! She was stubborn, strong, and honest- living that way until the very end. Her family finds comfort in knowing she was ready to join Jerry and her waiting family in eternal life. She was proud of her girls and her grandchildren and great-grands. She was a constant in each of their lives, leaving great memories.
Leona leaves behind her two daughters, Marjorie Sprague and Judith (James) Lambdin; grandchildren, Niki Sprague Burnett, Jay (Izrah) Sprague, Carrie (Jeff) Brighton, Heidi Denker-Tibai, and Brandon (Arlene) Lambdin; and great-grands: Laney, Luke, Rollie IV, Madeline, Kai, Griffin, Gabriel, Greyson and Thea. She is also survived by her brother, Richard Krell. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Kathleen Boudreau and Evelyn Ewert; and brothers, Leonard, Edward, Donald, Robert, Jim, Bill, and Ronald Krell.
The funeral Mass for Leona will be Friday, April 14 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church preceded by visitation at the church from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Inurnment will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery, Temperance, MI.
