Kenneth Albert Wioland, age 95, of Toledo’s Point Place Community, passed away Friday, November 5, 2021 at the ProMedica Toledo Hospital. He was born April 24, 1926 in Toledo, Ohio to Theobold and Agnes (Mentor) Wioland. A graduate of Scott High School and member of Teamsters Local 20, he was employed as a driver for White Star Line and several other trucking companies, retiring in 1986. Ken was a decorated WWII US Army Veteran and member of the VFW Post 4906. He was a former parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church and a 65-year parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Point Place.
Ken is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Marilyn (Moser) Wioland (married at St. Mary’s May 12, 1956); children, Michael (Kim) Wioland, Sandy (Kent Meyers) Tussing, and Diane (Dave) Bonnough; grandchildren, Nick (Kristen) Tussing, Jeremy (Katie) Tussing, Abbey (Alex Espinoza) Tussing, Kim (Greg) Schrock, Renee Bonnough, and David Bonnough; step-grandchildren, Tyler (Taylor) Perry, Taylor Perry, and Alex Dupree; and great-grandchildren, Liam, Finn, and Emma. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert and Marvin Wioland; and sisters, Evelyn Gazda and Lorene Roberts.
Visitation will be Monday, November 8 from 4-8 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd., with a scripture service at 7 p.m. Funeral services will begin Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home and continue with the Funeral Mass in St. John the Baptist Church at 10 a.m. Interment with Military Honors led by the VFW 606 Burial Corps will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
