Kathleen Bennett

Kathleen (Huffman) Bennett, 74, of Roswell, Georgia, formerly of Toledo died Sunday, October 24, 2021. She was born January 30, 1947, in Toledo to Paul and Clara Walker.  Kathleen attended school at Rosary Cathedral, Blessed Sacrament, St. Ursula Academy and graduated from DeVilbiss High School in 1965.

She moved to Chicago and Atlanta as a young adult where she worked as a secretary.  Kathleen returned to Toledo in 1972 where she married and raised her daughters.  She worked on and off in the real estate industry but was primarily a stay-at-home mother.  She volunteered at her daughters’ schools, taught catechism at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and was a Girl Scout leader.  Later in her life, she lived in Florida and loved to travel to see friends and family.  

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Terrence Walker, and her sister- in-law Margaret Walker.  Kathleen is lovingly survived by her daughters, Annette (Sean) Hodgson of Marietta, Georgia and Kimberly (Greg) Bigelman of Smyrna, Georgia; grandchildren, Maguire, Julia, Clara and Audrey; brother Thomas Walker of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina; nieces and nephew Kathleen McDougald, Emily Walker and Daniel Walker.  Also left to cherish her memory are her lifelong friends Judi Csomos, Karen DeNune and Peggy Pease.

Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe (114 E. Alexis Rd) with the funeral service starting at 11:30 AM.  She will be buried with her parents and brother in Coshocton, Ohio at a later date.
