Joyce Marie Yarick

With great sorrow we announce the passing of Joyce (Kaczmarski McGarvey) Yarick, age 77, of Lambertville Michigan. After a short battle with cancer, she passed on Saturday April 24, 2021 in her home with her children by her side.  She was in good spirits and experienced no pain in her final weeks.

Joyce was born on May 24, 1943 in Toledo Ohio to Raymond and Sophie Kaczmarski and was a 1961 graduate of Central Catholic High School. She was employed almost 25 years as an Executive Secretary. She worked for many years at Owens Illinois, in Toledo and later went on to be the Secretary to the CEO at Linkbelt Construction Company Lexington, Kentucky.

Joyce was very creative and enjoyed many hobbies, including baking, sewing, gardening, musical theater, and music. She loved traveling and enjoyed many trips and cruises with her late husband. She was a loyal parishioner of Regina Coeli Catholic Church and a member of The Elks Toledo-Sylvania #53.  Joyce also enjoyed time with her beloved Lhasa Apso dog, Roxie.

Joyce was known for her friendly but meticulous nature. Her friends and neighbors will miss her dearly. Most of all, she loved her family and instilled values in her children that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

Joyce is survived by her children, Shelly McGarvey and Mark McGarvey; ex-husband, Dennis McGarvey; sister, Elaine (Stanley) Radin; and brother, Jim (Kathy) Kaczmarski. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and true love of 32 years, Jack Yarick, who passed in November, 2018; and brother, Jerry Kaczmarski.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 29 from 4-8 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd., with a rosary led by members of the Regina Coeli Altar Rosary Society at 6 p.m. Funeral Services will begin Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home and continue with the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in Regina Coeli Church. Interment will be at a later date in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Toledo, OH.
