Jim Manire Hukalo, age 89, of Toledo, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 7, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 7, 1931 in Marshall County, Tennessee to Ramsom and Mattie (Manire) Alford. Jim was a graduate of Jesup W. Scott High School in Toledo and employed at Ohio Citizens Bank for 10 years. A talented roller skater, she proudly earned the title of Miss Toledo on Rollerskates, and kept up her skating skills throughout her life. She especially loved dance-skating with her husband Al. Jim was first and foremost a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker. A devout Christian and woman of great faith, she was a very active member of Flanders Rd. Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday School.
In addition to her parents Ramson and Mattie, Jim was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Hukalo; sister, Alda Horn; and brother, Leon Coffman. She is survived by her brother, J.C. Coffman; daughters, Tracey Lynch, Shayne Hukalo, and Kyle Hukalo; son, Todd (Kim) Hukalo; grandchildren, Kristina (Joe), Alexa, Brandon, Chad, Shane, Danielle, Bryce, and Kale; and great-grandchildren, Isabel, Abigail, Rebecca, and Laila.
A small memorial service for Jim will be held for friends and family on Sunday, December 20 at 12 noon in Flanders Road Church of Christ.
