Ervin Albert Wisniewski, age 93, of Sylvania and formerly of Linda Dr., Toledo, Lansing, IL and Sun City, NV passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Kingston Care Center with family by his side. He was born August 10, 1929 in Toledo, OH to George and Helen (Zolciak) Wisniewski. Ervin was a graduate of Macomber High School and served in the Army during the Korean War. He was employed with Travelers Insurance for 28 years, retiring in 1985. On November 22, 1952, Ervin married Stella Sagan. Together they built their home on Linda Drive and became lifelong parishioners of Regina Coeli Catholic Church. Over the years, Ervin and Stella enjoyed the companionship of their beloved dogs, Shemp, Wizzard, Max, and Cricket.
Ervin was preceded in death by his wife, Stella; parents; brother, Don (Loretta); and sister, Judy (Dick Kwapich). He is survived by his sisters, Arlene Adams (Bob Gerber) and Sharon Meeker (Lary); brothers, David (Charlene), Thomas (Sharon), and Jim (Jan); sister-in-law, Irene Latkofsky; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd., with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin on Friday at 10:15 a.m. in the funeral home and continue with the Funeral Mass at Regina Coeli Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. The VFW 606 Burial Corps will conclude with Military Honors at the church. Interment will be at a later date at Calvary Cemetery.
