Emilie Callahan, of Toledo, died at the age of 99 on Monday, August 16, 2021. She was the daughter of Frank and Stella Radecki. Emilie was a graduate of Woodward High School “Class of 1939” and Tri Business College. Her places of employment included Bostwick-Braun, City of Toledo, and the office of Dr. Daniel Radecki. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church for 72 years. She belonged to the St. Catherine Marian Society, 55+ Senior Center, and the St. Adalbert Altar Society. She loved to read - as many as three books a week and was quite a Pinochle player.
Emilie is survived by her children, James (Debbie) Callahan of Mason, OH and Judith Callahan of Toledo; grandchildren, Christian (Amy) Callahan and Joy (Marshall) Mead; great-grandchildren, Tristan, Ireland, and Talon Mead; and brothers, Chester Radecki and Richard (Mary Pat) Radecki. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Frank, Leonard, and Rev. Albin Radecki; and sisters, Esther Miecarek and Helen Szteiter.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 19 from 3-8 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. where members of the St. Catherine Marian Society will lead a rosary at 4 p.m. Funeral services will begin Friday at 9:45 a.m. in the funeral home and continue with the Funeral Mass in St. Catherine of Siena at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
