Cecilia "Marge" Kusz

Cecilia “Marge” Kusz, 98, of Toledo, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Rosary Care Center. She was born September 15, 1923 in Toledo, OH to Louis and Clara (Lawecki) Muszynski.  All her life, Marge was very involved in church activities.  She was a lector, eucharistic minister, and served on various committees.  Due to a special devotion to St. Anne, she organized an annual pilgrimage to the Canadian Shrines with the focal point being St. Anne de Beaupre. Marge also had St. Anne nights at Regina Coeli for 25 years. A longtime parishioner of Regina Coeli Catholic Church, she was a member of the Regina Coeli Altar Rosary Society, Salesians, St. Vincent de Paul 55+ Club, and the former St. Francis Guild. She was employed at Toledo People’s Jewelry for 35 years, retiring in 2003. Baking was Marge’s art and passion. All occasions whether ordinary or special had something baked. Family and tradition were very important to her.

Marge was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; son, William; and son-in-law, Albert Jenkins. She is survived by her daughter, Anne Marie Jenkins; grandchildren, Julie (David) Samson and David (Bethany) Jenkins; great grandchildren Elizabeth and Emily Samson, and Gabriel and Alexis Jenkins; sister, Esther (Daniel) Wasikowski; nephews, Paul Wasikowski and John (Jean) Wasikowski; and great niece, Rachael. 

Visitation will be Friday, January 21 from 3-6 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. with a rosary led by the Regina Coeli Altar Rosary Society at 5 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be Saturday at 9 a.m. in Regina Coeli Church. Interment will be private in Calvary Cemetery.

Those attending visitation and services are asked to wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines.
