Bernice Cecelia Wasielewski

Bernice Cecelia Wasielewski, age 95, of Toledo, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Ebeid Hospice, Sylvania. She was born on August 1, 1925 in Toledo, OH to Stephen and Mary (Langa) Czerniejewski. Bernice was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker. A wonderful cook and baker who could prepare all the Polish specialties, she was happiest caring for and being with her family. She was a charter parishioner of Regina Coeli Catholic Church and member of the church’s Altar Rosary Society.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene Wasielewski in 2003; son, Raymond Wasielewski; brothers, Frank, Steven, Danny, and Joseph Czerniejewski; and sister, Esther Zelmanski. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia (Mark) Nowaczyk; grandchildren, Amanda (James) Boudreau, Lisa Nowaczyk, Ryan (Shawna) Wasielewski, and Laura Wasielewski; great-grandchildren, Roman, Camden, and Aurora Boudreau and Holland Wasielewski; and daughter-in-law, Janet Riley.

Visitation will be private at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd.  Funeral services will begin Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home and continue with the Funeral Mass in Regina Coeli Church at 11 a.m.  Interment will follow in Whiteford Union Cemetery. Those paying their respects are asked to keep their visit brief, wear a mask, and respect social distancing guidelines.
