Bernadette Marie Perez, 44, of Toledo’s Point Place community passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022. She was born at Riverside Hospital in Toledo, OH to Guadalupe and Theresa Perez on June 25, 1977. She was a graduate of Cherry Elementary School and Waite High School.
Bernadette loved Sundays, spending time with family. She was a great cook, and wonderful mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother. She was a very hard worker. She loved the Cleveland Browns and Michigan Wolverines. She was a former parishioner of Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral.
Bernadette was preceded in death by her grandfather, Enrique Canales; grandparents, Guadalupe and Juanita Perez; cousin, Heather Rapton; and uncle, Jim Rapton. She is survived by her parents, Guadalupe and Theresa Perez; grandmother, Maria Canales; children, Andres (Lena) Perez, Alejandro (Maria) Perez, Avianna Ibarra, and Astrella (Taylor Richardson) Ibarra; brothers, Guadalupe (Andreanna) Perez III and Fernando (Rebecca) Perez; special niece, Marianna Beltran; 7 grandchildren; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; and life partner, Randy Killen.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 22 from 2-8 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. where members of the K of C Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Council will lead a rosary at 7 p.m. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Deacon Michael Sarra presiding. Inurnment will be at a later date in Toledo Memorial Park.
