Beatrice Theresa Stelmaszak

Beatrice Theresa Stelmaszak, 91, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. She was born December 5, 1929 in Toledo, OH to Theodore and Theresa (Matuszewski) Filas. Beatrice was a graduate of Whitney Vocational High School. She worked at Craft Master, and in housekeeping at the Lake of the Woods Apartments for 10 years, retiring in 1971. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker, Beatrice was a wonderful cook and baker. She loved baking Polish coffee cakes, lemon pies and mini cherry cheesecakes for her appreciative family and friends. She also enjoyed working on picture puzzles. She was a longtime parishioner of the former St. Hedwig Catholic Church.

Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melvin Stelmaszak; and brother, Norman Filas. She is survived by her sons, Tom (Mary Ann) and Mark Stelmaszak; grandchildren, Angela (Dan) Brubaker, Troy (Sara) Stelmaszak, Rachael Stelmaszak, Heather (John) Rork, Nichole (Corey) Stelmaszak, Stacey Stelmaszak, Kimberly Wiatr, and Kristin Aemisegger; 11 great-grandchildren; and sister, Delphine (Paul) Zimmer.

Visitation will be Monday from 2-6 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd., with a Scripture Service at 5:30 p.m.  The Funeral Mass will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Regina Coeli Catholic Church preceded by visitation in the church from 9-10 a.m. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Those attending visitation and services are asked to wear a facial covering and respect social distancing guidelines.
