Ann Louise Zielinski

Ann Louise Zielinski, age 88, of Toledo, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020. She was born on February 20, 1932 in Toledo, OH to Joseph and Martha (Kujawa) Waltz. A graduate of Libby High School, Ann worked in the Acklin Stamping office, and the Plaskon Credit Union as a clerk. She raised her family on Waverly and lived most of her adult life in Toledo and Oregon, OH. Ann was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren doing various activities. An avid Bingo player, she loved going out for Bingo wherever and whenever she could. She and her husband “BZ” were caretakers at the Teamsters Senior Living facility on Manley Rd. They were former longtime parishioners of St. Hyacinth Catholic Church.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bernard “BZ” Zielinski in 2009; sister, Dorothy (Alex) Jakutowicz; and son-in-law, Raymond Briggs Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Rose Marie Briggs; son, Bernard (Kathleen) Zielinski; grandchildren, Raymond Briggs Jr., Jon Briggs, Joseph (Ericka) Zielinski, Amy (Marcus) Johnson, and Porter Briggs; great-grandchildren, Jonathon, Justin, Jacob, Jordyn, and Penelope.

The Funeral Mass for Ann will be Friday, December 18 at 11 a.m. in St. Hyacinth Catholic Church. Visitation will precede the Mass from 9-11 a.m. at the church. Those attending are asked to wear a mask and respect social distancing guidelines. Interment will follow at Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa, Ohio. A memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
