Susan Ann Sterling, age 67, of Erie, Michigan, passed away at home Sunday, April 14, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 28, 1956, to William and Nancy (Noyes) Whitner.  Susan worked as a housekeeper for Bedford Motor Court and as an at-home care nurse for “Home Instead”, retiring in 2012.  A wonderful homemaker, wife, and mother, she was passionate about raising her family of five, and always had the door open for other children in the neighborhood.  Susan was a former parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a member of the VFW Post 2898 Auxiliary.  A friend to all, she will be dearly missed.

Susan is survived by her daughter, Belinda (James) Sheriff; sons, Brian (Sarah), Allen (Christine), and Anthony (Nicole) Kennedy; 17 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and husband, Terry Sterling.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Thomas Whitner.
