Judith Ann Wotring

Judith Ann Wotring, age 78, of Toledo passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio’s Toledo facility surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 23, 1945 in Bucyrus, OH to Francis and Mary (Bosh) Topper. Judy received her bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from Eastern Michigan University and employed throughout her life as an occupational therapist. She worked at the St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center from 1969-1987 and 1991-1993, at APRN from 1993-1999, and with the Toledo Rehab Group at the Toledo Clinic from 1999 until her retirement in 2015. She was a former member of St. Clement Catholic Church and a current parishioner of Regina Coeli Catholic Church. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 181 Auxiliary in Bucyrus, OH. Judy enjoyed crafts and gardening. She was quite a skilled quilter and basket weaver, and a member of the North Carolina Basket Makers Association, the Wildwood Basketry Guild, the Monroe County Quilt Guild, and Quiltmakers of Michigan. A vibrant and loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she will be dearly missed.

Judy is survived by her son, Timothy Wotring; daughters, Christine Wotring, Jennifer Desserich, and Rachel (Christopher) Pendry; grandson, Conner Pendry; sisters, Joan McPherson and Jennifer (Dennis) Billings; nieces, Allison and Amy; and nephew, Eric. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Hunter; nephew, Brian and brother-in-law, John McPherson.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 20 from 3-8 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. with a rosary led by members of the Regina Coeli Church Altar Rosary Society at 6 p.m. Funeral services will begin Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home and continue with the Funeral Mass in Regina Coeli Church at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock, MI.
